Instructions for loading software to the PWD

Please follow these steps to load the software onto your PWD.

  1. Turn off the rear panel power switch on the PWD
  2. Remove the SD card.  Set it aside.
  3. Take the SD card reader we sent you (or use your own) and make sure it is attached and working on your computer.
  4. Take the SD card we included with your PWD and put it into the SD card reader.
  5. We have placed 4 files on our server.  You will need to download each of the 4 files to your computer.
  6. Firmware Version 1.07 March 24 2010

    1. LOADER.CFG
    2. PWD107.hex
    3. PWDUI105.hex
    4. PWDWE105.hex

  7. Copy the 4 files onto the SD card in the reader.
  8. Place the SD card, with the 4 files, into the SD card slot on the back of the PWD.  It goes in upside down (it will only go in one way).
  9. Turn the rear panel power switch on and look at the front panel power button.  The front panel button should be blinking if the software is loading correctly.
  10. Once the software has completely loaded, you will see the normal Insert Disc screen.  You are good to go
  11. Use the original SD card for the next software update.

You can always check the firmware version installed on either the PWT or PWD by turning the power off via the rear panel switch.  Turn it back on and as soon as you see the Initialize screen, touch the PS logo and hold your finger on it until the version screen appears.

Please run through all your tests again and let us know if the problems we identified above have been fixed and what problems you still have.

Thanks and have fun!
